Telkom Junk status confirmed

Dear Sir/Madam

Reference 23CWK210417

Wrt the correspondence below, it goes totally beyond my comprehension that, after SIX WEEKS, the Telkom service has still not been restored.

Once again a message was received at 14:06 that the outage in our area has been resolved. Unfortunately this is ONCE AGAIN not the case!!!

For the record:

1. Our telephone & ADSL lines ( ********** ) have been out of service since Wednesday 19 April due to thunder & lightening;

2. Furthermore our area suffered intermittent network outages (check your records to validate) since Sunday 9 April which was restored on

Sunday 16 April. The ADSL line has thus been effectively out ofservice from 9-16 April and then, inclusive of the landline, again from 19 April onwards.
3. The message received from Sanele on 12/05/2017 08:44: “Thank you for contacting Telkom Technical Support. We apologise for the inconvenience that might have been caused.” This is a total understatement as inconvenience have been caused in no uncertain way!! My mother is 91 years old and we are dependant on the use of a landline as I have run out of cell phone time a long time ago!!!

4. No claim for credit has been submitted for the above mentioned period up to date as it serves no purpose until service and period for non-service has eventually been established.

Your urgent feedback will be appreciated whether the service will ever be reinstated again.

Please note that a copy of this correspondence will be forwarded to hellopeter.com

From: Wiese, JE **********
Sent: Friday, 12 May 2017 17:59
To: Telkom ********** /> Subject: Re: [Support # ********** ] Line Out Of Service - **********

Thanks for the feedback received but when will our sevice be reinstated??

Sent from my Samsung device

-------- Original message --------
From: Sanele via RT **********
Date: 12/05/2017 08:44 (GMT+02:00)
To: "Wiese, JE ********** **********
Subject: [Support # ********** ] Line Out Of Service - **********

On Thu May 11 17:13:06 2017, ********** wrote:

> Dear Sir Madam

> Our telephone & ADSL lines ( ********** ) have been out of service

> since Wednesday 19 April due to thunder & lightening.

> I have yet again received a sms message today
at 9:27 to inform that

> "the network outage in our area has been resolved" which is not the

> case.

> Upon phoning 10210 to report that the fault still exists the lady

> merely informed me that the line works and there is nothing else

> she
can do about it...............???

> Furthermore our area suffered intermittent network outages (check your

> records to validate) since Sunday 9 April which was restored on

> Sunday 16 April.
