Telkom juat cancelled a number

My mother çancelled her telkom mobile contract and moved over to pay as you go. But it seems someone did not get the message because suddenly that number does not exist anymore. I am overseas and now have absolutely no contact with her. She also has her income coming in by using that phone number. Teliom urgently needs to fox their mistake please!!!!!!
