Telkom it's your fault!!!

I first logged a fault with my ADSL line dropping on the 18th of February 2017.
The line would drop completely and then when it did come back on, the internet would be extremely slow. I could also hear a crackle on the phone line.

A technician from Telkom was sent out to my residence a few days later and told me that it was because my speed was running on a 4MB/s and I needed to drop it down to a 2 MB/s . This made no sense to me as it did not explain why the line was dropping or why there was a crackle on the telephone line.
The technician closed the fault and the ADSL continued to drop over the next few days.
I reopened the fault and asked for a new technician to be sent out as now my actual telephone line was dropping too (it dropped while I was on numerous calls to report the fault to Telkom daily).
They sent out the same technician. He gave me the same story about the speed being too high and closed the fault again.

So to prove that there was an actual fault with the line I phoned MWEB and asked them to downgrade me to a 2MB/s, which they have now done. They also tested the line for me on their side and have assured me that THERE IS IN FACT A FAULT WITH THE TELKOM LINE. I called them again today on Saturday the 4th of March to confirm that they are picking up a fault at Telkom, and they said that they pick up that from 9:45am until 16:30pm on this day alone that the line dropped 79 TIMES from the Telkom exchange!!! Nevermind on all the other days (45 times on Friday the 3rd, 65 times on Thursday the 2nd and so on and so on). They pick up that the line is DEFINITELY dropping from the Telkom exchange.
My ADSL line is STILL dropping (on a 2MB/s now), my phone line STILL drops too, there is STILL a crackle on the line and when I do have internet it is STILL extremely slow.

I have now had to log a fault for the fourth time and have just recieved a text from Telkom to say they are closing the fault again (without resolving the line problem).

Telkom needs to stop messing me around and send out a competant technician and take responsibility and action to solve the problem .

Good Day Bronwyn
Unfortunetly I have just had to re open my fault now again for the fifth time as Telkom sent me another text message saying that the fault has been resolved but my ADSL line is STILL dropping.
This is totally unnacceptable, a new technician has still not been sent out to my residence.
Your service is disgusting.
I want the problem resolved immediatly. I get the same thing said to me daily when I phone your call centre, "this matter has been escalated". Nothing ever gets done and I am still sitting with a faulty ADSL line that is dropping from YOUR exchange. The fault number that was closed was 35CRK040317 a new fault number was just given to me now: 1138CRK060317.
Please send a competent technician and sort this problem out once and for all!!!!
