Telkom is the worst service provider

<p>Since November 2016 I have been out of service with my Telkom line (both phone and ADSL). I live in JHB and managed to get my family in DBN to log numerous calls on my behalf as I do not have access to another telkom line. Eventually some time in December a technician got appointed and solved the issue and I was advised to purchase a new modem, which I had done at a cost of R700 from Dion wired as telkom did not have stock of modems. Everything worked fine for 2 weeks and then the phone stops working. Fortunately, the ADSL was not affected. Again, my family in DBN logged several calls and eventually a technician comes and repaired the line and I was now advised to buy a New phone as some part has burnt out. This then worked for under two weeks and then in January both the phone and ADSL lines stopped working AGAIN. It is now the 2017.03.03 and I am still without service which has severaly impacted my work as I cann access the systems I need too. Several people on the 10210 fault reporting department promise to get a technician asssigned and come back to me but to date, I have not heard from anyone. Someone advised my mum that I should go to a Telkom store and ask for an intergration card as I had some urgent work related assignments to complete. I visited the Telkom store in Greenstone and was disgusted with the service I received when I went to enquire about the intergration sim card. The manager Pamela was apperently on training and they could not assist or provide her cell number. The attitude of the staff was pathetic to say the least and offered no intent of assisting. I have also visited the Eastgate branch to obtain this sim card and they could not assist. It is absolutely frustrating and I have never had to deal with such incompetant and disappointing service. To add insult to injury, although I have been out of service for 3 months, I am been billed full. To date I do not know when the service will be restored. My family are even frustrated of logging and escalating calls on the 10210 as NOTHING gets done!!!!</p>
