Telkom is the worst

I have had the worst experience having a fault on my landline with telkom. My fault reference is 838CNK230817

I contacted the call center on the 12th of September 2017. Spoke to a lady who informed me that it is an underground cable fault and a technician was assigned only on the 12th of September 2017. She informed me that this would be escalated and she will have the technician call me the next day. I received no such call. I called back on the 14th of September 2017. Spoke to a lady who informed me that it was escalated on the 12th of September. If something is escalated, it requires priority, it means that you try your best to ensure proper service. To telkom it means absolutely nothing. I then asked to speak to a manager to which she said she will check who is available. She came back on the line and informed me that she got in touch with Mr Govender and he said he would call me. I requested to speak to the manager and then she puts me through to sales? Does it seem like I'd at all be interested in new products from Telkom?? I spoke to a manager (Andile) at the call centre who informed me that he was going to send an email to the technician by the name of Mr Govender. He also told me that he was going to cc Mr Govenders manager into that email and get Mr Govender to call me this morning. Its is now 18:59 and i am yet to get a call from Mr Govender. This Mr Govender as done absolutely nothing and this is the type of people Telkom employs? What about world class client service? What about the customer who continously pays for a service that no one seems to want to fix?

Today i called the call centre again and I'm told that there is no note of an escalation.

I am highly frustrated and angry at the way in which Telkom is treating this fault. There is a lack of competence since no onr understands what the word escalation is or understands when the client asked to be called with feedback.

I do not think its fair for me to be calling all the time and spending hours on end listening to that annoying music for hours on end.

Maybe telkom needs to go back to school and learn basics. Like what the word escalation means, cause clearly its not part of their vocabulary. I am truly disappointed in such an organization. I would never advocate for anyone to deal with Telkom in future, best take your mobile contracts and even landline to other service providers.

ONE ANGRY CLIENT Mr Frank
