Telkom is ruining my credit rating with their own incompetence

<p>In January 2016, Telkom cancelled my ADSL without permission, clearly because of incompetence, because they were supposed to cancel my old line from my previous place. After struggling for weeks to get my line active without success, I decided to cancel my line altogether. After talking with an operator at Telkom I was told the line is already cancelled and that the cancellation is done. I accepted that the matter was done. It was not. I went overseas, when I got back I saw that Telkom is still billing me, obviously I am not going to pay for a service that is supposed to be cancelled. I phoned them again and I was told I cannot dispute the bill before the line is cancelled, which it clearly was not. I emailed the cancellation department at the start of April, I was told they would cancel it within 2 weeks. It has now been 6 weeks and I have not heard a word from them. In the meantime I am still receiving a bill, which is now close to R3000. Telkom, I will not pay for anything after January, since you assured me the line is cancelled. Please cancel my line and revise my bill so I only have to pay you for January. Your calls are recorded, so there is proof of my cancellation in January.
