Telkom is proving to be a hassle to deal with
I have found the conduct of Telkom and their consultants to be less than unpalatable. Firstly I had an issue with loading airtime on Friday (this has been an issue that I have been having since last month, despite that I didn’t call) I called them on Friday and the consultant tried 3 times to load airtime for me to no avail. He then suggested I load a mo’nice bundle for data for the weekend which was R43 for 1 gig of airtime for two days . I loaded the data at 7pm on Friday and expected that like all temporary data packages it would deplete at 7pm on Sunday. I woke up to find today that my data had depleted. I slept with 494 MBs and overnight apparently it had depleted Because I used a substantial amount AFTER midnight. That consultant then transferred me to her Team leader who then told me that the data bundles had expired at midnight, I asked him what that ment because the first consultant has told me that I used bundles after midnight but how if they expired? I even suggested that he go to the QA department and listen to the call because the information I’m getting from him is not the same as the consultant before him. He DROPPED THE CALL. I then called back and another consultant picked up the call...this one denied being able to see on the system who had being speaking to before but I suspect that she was being untruthful, she confirmed what the first consultant had said that the data had been there after 12am which means that it had not expired at 12am....she looked at her system and even told me that there was nothing said to expire....then all of a sudden and rather abruptly she changed her story ( I suspect that the TEAM leader had influenced her) she then said it’s suddenly on the system that it indeed expired at 12am I asked her how? When the phone had been said to be using data confirmed by you and the first consultant....I got nothing! Telkom has become really disappointing on may occasions and really we have had enough.
