Telkom is pathetic!!!

The problem started when I received my statement last month and realized my bill for *** was higher than usual.

I called Telkom to query why and I was told it was because of the 500 or 250 spending limit. Which was a surprise to me because my spending limit was supposed to be 0.

After many calls and being misinformed countless times by your agents. I was told that in May 2018 my contract was migrated from 1gig free me to 2gig free me and that’s when my spending limit was also changed.

I don’t recall ever requesting this change so I requested for a recording as proof and I’m still waiting for this feedback. I’ve been waiting for 2 weeks now

My spending limit was reduced back to 0 as I requested. 1 June I realized that I did not receive my minutes. When I called Telkom to query this, I was told I have never received minutes and that’s how my contract is structured. When I explained to them that I’ve had this contract for 4 years, I’ve always received minutes on the 1st. I was told I only get Telkom to Telkom minutes.

After numerous called (once again) I was told I no longer receive minutes because of the migration that happed in May 2018.

My issues a are: 1. I do not recall requesting the migration, I need proof of this. 2. If I did agree to this migration (via a sales/promotion call) countless things (that have happening since) were not disclosed, namely: * My spending limit increasing * That I would not receive monthly minutes * My contract extending from July to September.

I last upgraded in July 2017. I was supposed to update on the 22nd month (May 2019) and I can not because on this migration.

Had all of this been disclosed to me I would have never opted for a migration (that’s if I did agree).

Kind regards, Pamella Mgudlwa

Reviewer Update
After sending the above email to Telkom 07/06 and did not receive feedback, I followed up 13/06 on another email to someone else at Telkom (an email address I was given by another consultant from the call center). This is the feedback I received.

“Good Pamela Your spending limit is R0 FreeMe 2GB does not come with all net voice minutes unless if you can can add 100 FreeMe voice recurring minutes only for R40 per month. RegardsIgnatia”

This response addresses NOTHING in my email. I don’t know if people that work there just don’t want to assist or if it’s a training issue!!! You have no shame!!! What kind of feedback is this to a complaint query???
