Telkom is not legal in compliance with their customers.

So I received a bill from Telkom amounting to R 410,27. My usual monthly billing is R 207,57.

I called Telkom today (20 May 2019) accounts department inquiring about the additional charges. Telkom consultant advised that additional charges of R 202,70 is for rejection fee due to lack of funds in my bank account. I was unaware of my bank account having lack of funds which is why I made a manual payment the next day.

I then requested (from the consultant) a reversal of this rejection fee as I was not aware of such a fee. Consultant advised this is part of my contract (which I have never received when I upgraded) and then requested she email me my contract to which she is not allowed to email me. I have to call Sales for the contract (??????). I also asked that she email sales and cc me in this email for request of my contract, once again she is not allowed to email myself and other Telkom departments.

My next request was for cancellation of my debit orders going forward as I will proceed with manual payments thus to avoid this situation in future. The consultant advised me that I have to pay my account within 10 days before debit orders date to avoid debit orders. Again, requested that I would like to cancel all debit orders to be cancelled as I will proceed with manual payments going forward. The consultant advised she can't cancel the debit orders. I ask why her response was that she cant. SERIOUSLY TELKOM???? Since when "can't" Telkom cancel debit orders. I asked to speak to her manager her response was her manager is in a meeting.

Telkom is basically telling me that I am not allowed to receive my contract and that I cannot cancel my debit orders without any legal explanation from Telkom.

Telkom, please show me in the constitution where I do not have a right to receive my contracts and do not have the right to cancel my debit orders????

This is an ******* act on your client of +- 9years.

I am horrified and discussed by this ******* treatment.
