Telkom is just nonsense

I had a contract with telkom it was suppose to end in June if I'm not mistaken, an agent called me and sold me another contract, I told her that I have 260 in my old a count so will they transfer that money to my new contract she agreed she even told me that I don't have to pay immediately when I join a new contract. Okay I took the simcard, guess what ? They did not give me data but now I got a message saying g I owe them one thousand four hundred and something. Now they deducted the money but I have not been receiving any data
