TELKOM IS IRRESPONSIBLE

On 19 Dec 2021 I recharged my prepaid Telkom phone account with R150 and I successfully transferred 2 x R50 into my other Telkom SIM card that I normally use on my tablet for data purposes. R100 is daily limit for airtime and/or data transfer. Just after midnight I attempted to transfer remaining R50 into the same SIM card with intention to transform the airtime into Night Surfer Bundles at R149. My first attempt of the latter transfer was unsuccessful as Telkom system would not take me through towards last step. I tried again after about an hour and the system indicated that the last R50 has been transferred from SIM card-1 but did not reflect on the SIM card-2. I was hoping that this will be ractified as my R150 recharge is a proof of airtime purchase and R141,74 free airtime remaining shows my R150 recharge was still intact.

I called Telkom customer service in the morning and the case no. ***5 was logged and was promised the matter would be resolved within 72 hours. On 21 Dec I called again the matter was not resolved and later I received SMS indicating my case has been resolved but still the R50 was not reflecting.

During xmas break Telkom customer service was inaccessible until 03 Jan when I managed got through and was told that my case has not been logged and I was given new case no. ***3 and the agent was surprised as my case was straight forward as it reflects that R50 was deducted from my SIM card and was supposed to have landed on the intended SIM card as the number was correct. To date my R50 is missing inspite of glaring records in Telkom system. I have been doing these transfers for more than 4 years. It is Telkom that needs to account as they control the system and there is proof in all my transactions.
