Telkom is increasing your internet speed at no extra charge! - *******. its a trap

Have been trying to get hold of Telkom for two months. They have increased my debt order. When i called they said it was because i went from 50mbp to 100mbp. But i never opt for this. This was given to me for free which they even sent an email stating its free, this was last year May 2021 which they were still charging me R849.00 per month. Now the last two months March/April 2022 they charging me R1198.99.

"Dear DUNCAN,

Great news! As a valued Telkom customer, we have decided to upgrade your existing 50Mbps fibre speed to 100Mbps at no extra cost to you. That means double the speed for the same price you’re paying now.

Your invoice will be updated accordingly. Note: Please do not log a fault or dispute if your invoice has not been updated by June.

To confirm that your speed upgrade has taken place, you can perform a speed test at www.speedtest.net.* To perform the test via WiFi, ensure that you’re as close as possible to the router. Alternatively, for the most accurate test, connect your computer to the router via a LAN cable.
