Telkom is cancer that needs to be cut out!

<p>I was moving house on the 27th of May so I decided to phone telkom on the 1st of May to place an order for the to move my adsl so there would be very little downtime. i phoned them and spoke to very lovely lady that said she noted it and a person would contact me on the 29th of May to come install it for me..yay for me...not so much. On the 29th of May no one showed up or contacted me , I phoned the next day and ofcourse no one was aware and there was no record of anything. I placed and order or whatever again and my mistake I didint take the reference number and none was send to me.a day or two later I contacted them again, they say they couldnt continue with the order as I owed them money.........well deciding to keep my cool because arguing with them will give you cancer I paid the money and was told it would reflect the next day.I waited 2 days and phone them again .....and again I owed them money paid that as well. Phoned them a couple of times after that and finally got an order ref number " ********** 61".</p> <p>So expecting everything to move smoothly I phoned them again 2 days later to get an update becuase Telkom does not give their customers any feedback , and this time the lady whos name I forgot to take down told me eveything looks good ADsl availability is there just have to wait for a tech to come and install my line (this was on the 8th i think). I maybe phoned them a few times during that time to get an update and got none...so today I phoned them on the 15th of May and the lady's first excuse was the adress is to far from exchange ..I was shocked as I actually moved closer to telkom like a live 500 meters from the main exchange in my town then the next excuse there are no ports available.</p> <p>Telkom does not appreciate its customers, when it comes to paying them no pay= cut off.but when you demand service they take years and don't even bother giving feedback.I will be logging a complaint with ICASA because this is pathetic to say the least.</p>
