Telkom Is an *********** service provider who violates human rights.
I feel violated by Telkom in many ways, not for the first time. Following a new cellphone contract I had app**** for at Telkom store, at Gateway mall in Durban in January 2021, I have not received any services in terms of data or minutes for calls. Telkom was supposed to facilitate a port or migration of a number to Telkom and to this day it has not be done. I had visited the store a couple of times, about 4-5 times before they started debiting my account on a wrong date for services not rendered. The manager promised to escalate the quiry and It’s almost 4 weeks since I had been to the store and awaiting an email which he was going to send after lodging a complaint on our behalf in the system. As if these was not enough Telkom continued to debit my account on the 15th of April and 16 of April for the second time. When I reverse these amounts of monies it costs me more money. Visiting the store over and over again in vain is also a waste of my resources. Telkom claims everything is captured on the system , contrary to this I get a different story every time I visit the store. I have now grown weary and I don’t advise anyone to fall into this trap just because Telkom offers affordable or cheaper rates to other counterparts. I hold a contract with MTN for more than 5 years and I have not experienced this level of incompetence. If you have not experienced a bad service with Telkom, stay put and aler***** a terrible experience to deal and put up with such incompetence. Telkom has no right to debit my account for services not rendered/ the manager I spoke to end of the month of March fully agreed and promised to take action and revert back to us. This is purely a violation of human rights and it is purely thefts. I’m still accessing services from Vodacom whilst holding a contract with Telkom after 3 months. This is ****************❗️
