Telkom is a ****

I had a 24 month cellphone contract with Telkom until July 2021. then in August Telkom debited my account and said it was a month to month contract since i did not cancel the contract so they decided to debit for airtime and data. on the 13 October 2021 i went to Telkom The Grove Mall in Pretoria and cancelled the contract and i was told that the month to month airtime/data contract was cancelled that same day and was given this reference number (Cancellation order number: ***A/***A). Then today i get a call from a company called Debt Inc claiming that i owe Telkom R1000+. i was so shocked cause my 24 months contract ended in August and i had no outstanding amounts due to telkom hence my contract was cancelled when i asked them to cancel the month to month.

why does telkom want to **** me?
