TELKOM IS A ****

Telkom customers need to be very vigilant when they are making contract with Telkom. On 24 April 2024 I went at Telkom shop to take a cellphone contract. As a regular customer it did not take me any minutes to get an offer. When I was signing the contract I just noticed under the general there is a condition that says" TELKOM RESERVES THE RIGHT TO AMEND THESE OFFERINGS TERMS AND CONDITIONS, FROM TIME TO TIME. SUCH AMENDMENTS WILL BE PLACED ON TELKOM'S WEBSITE AT THE FOLLOWING LINK......, WHICH WILL BE DEEMDED INCORPORATED INTO THE AGREEMENT AND BIND THE CUSTOMER FROM THE DATE THAT THE AMENDMENT WAS LISTED ON THE ABOVEMENTIONED SITE" I refused to sign that part as I wanted to be informed if there are any changes in my contract as the contract binding me with these terms and conditions. The Manager and sales person tried to ask from the head office but the response was that I cannot get the cellphone if I refused to sign that part. I had to cancel the contract and went to another service provide. I feel like this is a **** because when they change their monthly prices the customers do not benefit, however, if the premium increases the customers get affected. And the customers need to be informed if any changes going to occur on their contract. I believe that contact is a binding statement, if there are any amendments I need to be informed and sign the new contract if I consent to those changes.
