Telkom is a disaster

Not even worth a 1star rating!!!!! Pathetic to say the least. We reported that out telephone line was struck by lightning on 27 December. Telkom promised to escalate the problem. I've phoned every day since then and every different person I speak to promises to escalate. I even had someone tell me yesterday that the technician would be at my place at 2.30pm.....she didn't mention what day though!!!!!! Another call center agent told me today there was cable theft and that our whole area is down.... Very strange that everyone else in our street has no problem??? Can someone please recommend a service provider BESIDES telkom. Urgency doesn't seem to exist at telkom and all their lines are non existent. PLEASE HELP.
