Telkom is a ****
Unauthorized debit order and bad customer service. I want to cancel my deal with Telkom. I have been trying to call Telkom and their customer service line is not working. I tried requesting for a call back several times but still nothing. So I paid Telkom two months payment upfront after speaking to one of its consultant and arranged that I would like to cancel my contract but to my surprise even though I paid upfront... Telkom still debits my account and for September and also charged a fee of the debit order bouncing. Yoh Telkom is unprofessional.

06 Oct 2025, 12:39Telkom consultants provide me with different information and it seems like I will never be assisted. After request a call back since the 25th of September 2025 and writing a review on hello Peter yesterday, the finally reached out this morning (06 October 2025 @ 09:52). The consultant that caused me to be in this predicament is Asanda, who advised me to make a payment anytime and today after speak to Gugulethu Hlophe I realized that Asanda didn't care about my situation when I reached out to Telkom. Due to financial issues I decided to cancel my telkom Sim contract and I plan ahead by paying in advance for both September and October but to my surprise today I find out I wasn't supposed to pay I was suppose to let the debit order to go through. Now am writing this with an outstanding amount of R220+ of the unpaid debit order fee which I feel and believe I received unfairly due to an *********** consultant that failed to advise correctly when I was seeking advices. I want to dispute this fee and I called the billing department and I spoke to Nompilo Masikane who told me that even if Telkom and it's consultants provide me with wrong information it's no their problem and I should take accountability and pay the fee. I was like really?! She said, definitely. I need this to be attended to urgently because I am not willing to pay this fee.
