Telkom insurance (finrite)

I took out a cellphone contract (Samsung s7) with telkom about a year ago.

I also added insurance and said that I will be using my mtn Sim card as I've had this number for 10 years plus and ddnt want to switch over to telkom

The sales person said you will still be covered

After doing further research I discovered that if your telkom Sim is not in ur device when you loose it or it gets ****** they will not pay out. So I wanted to cancel it.

When I called telkom they said the insurance is outsourced to a company called finrite and they provided me with the contact details.

When I called I waited for more than 30 min horrible, eventually after getting through and asking them to cancel they said itshe done. One month later I see they still debating my account

This once 6 months ago I tried again and again I went into the store numerous times aswell and even called from the store aswell. Telkom N1 city mall Cape Town and still no help.

This is R200 out of my pocket every month for something that will not be paid out in the event of loosing my device.
