Telkom insurance

Im soo dissatisfied with the service from telkom. I already have 2 contracts with them and I recently took another contract for a phone worth 17k online and the phone was corried because the nearest telkom is 160km from me but they wouldn't let me insure it online or telephonically. When I went to the store they told me that 7 days have passed so they won't. So am I supposed to live with a phone worth that much uninsured for the next 2 years.
