Telkom incompetant, stay well away from Telkom, and their complete lack of customer care

We moved into our new rented home in Kloof end of December 2015, and decided to sign up for Telkom's fantastic uncapped wireless broadband uncapped LTE service. What a mistake that would turn out to be.

The service started out fantastic for the first 3 months, even though we never got anywhere near to their advertised max speeds. It worked fine for our household. Unfortunately after the first 3 month honeymoon, this have gone from ok, to absolutly useless. I have been trying to get in contact with Telkom for over 3 months now, and their custoemr support agents don't seeem to care at all. Every time I get in contact, all they have to say is the issue is being escalated. At the 1 stage I was getting in touch twice a week, and still same response that the support issue was being escalated. No matter how I tried to get a decent response out of them, all I got was it's being escalted, to the point now, where I will be seeking legal advice to get out of my contract.

The broadband service is unusable, the latency is often over 600ms, which in turn does no allow anyone in the house to stream, let alone online game. Recently, as in over the last few days, we are now being blocked from accessing certain international websites. What is the point of paying for something which is not fit for purpose I ask?

Now the thing is as I mentioned before, the first 3 months were great, but since then the service is only usable in the daytime, and no matter how many times I have contacted Telkom to have my issues resolved, they don't seem to care at all about their customers, and if after 3 months the support query is still being escalated, god only know how long it'll be before they decide to actually fix the issue, or bother to actually do something constructive about the issue.

Final words, just stay well away from Telkom, it's just not worth the cost, fuss and frustration
