Telkom ignoring cancellation letter and keep debit orders active
I cancelled my Telkom account on the 8th November 2017 as I swapped over to Fibre. i have followed their system of downloading the cancellation letter as per their website and emailing it to their cancellation department. i called them again on the 25th November to confirm the receipt and progress of this. i was told that i cannot contact the cancellation department directly and that i must just mail them and they will contact me when they receive it. i emailed them again with the details and received a receipt that it was delivered and read. however they still deducted my account in December 2017 and January 2018 with no response to me. I called them again on the 9th January 2018 to querie this (ref# ********** 8). i was told it will be raised and they will come back to me. i still haven't heard anything from them. i feel that this is blatant ******* from Telkom not having a way of contacting them to cancel services and then *****ing the customers money and leaving them with no options. if you cancel the debit order they blacklist you. i think this is unacceptable and needs to be resolved. i will also never use or recommend Telkom to any person again as they are ******* that just take advantage of the public and do not respond to complaints or concerns.
