Telkom ignores fault
A week ago I reported my business line out of order, after having to try for an hour and a half to reach the call centre from a neighbour's phone. I run my business on the phone as I am an insurance consultant. I was assured that a technician would go out and attend to the fault the next day.<br> It has been over a week and the line remains out of order. I have tried to no avail to get hold of the call centre. You hold for hours on end with no answer. eventually the call gets cut. I finally decided to go out to my nearest Telkom office to plead with them to help me. The chucked a phone in front of me and told me to call their call centre line. The same number that I have tried to reach for a week. I have lost thousands of rands because of my having no phone service. I don't know where to turn to as Telkom clearly does not need the business and have no interest in retaining their clients. I am going to phone the opposition private phone company. Maybe they will have a better service attitude. In the meantime I need to give Telkom 30 days notice, and even that I cant do as I have to do it VIA THE NON EXISTENT CALL CENTRE!!!
We have assigned the fault as line down to our tech, they will test the sync and make contact with you to assist further.
