Telkom Ignored my right to close my account

During August 2014 closed my account with Telkom. This took place when I moved out of a rental property. The new tenant and I both appeared in person at the Telkom shop in gateway mall to firstly cancel/close my account and transfer the landline at the property over to the new tenant. The transfer of the land line to the new tenant took place but in October 2014 I became aware of Telkom not closing my account.

I have tried communicating with Telkom on many occasions but they have not responded furthermore Telkom have not resolved registered escalations.

It has been eight months since I first tried to cancel the account and still Telkom continue to ignore my cancellation attempts.

Over this eight month period Telkom have taken it upon themselves to report negative and false information about me to all of the credit bureaus, they have also sought out the services of a debt collector who also does not respond to emails or phone calls.

I have pleaded in writing for someone at Telkom to help me but still no response. I am at the end of my rope... I just cant any more.

Telkom should have cancelled my account in August 2014 but they didn't.

Please help me I cant' any more.
