Telkom I am coming after you. You ***** and feel you can get away with it.

Telkom may like to believe that because they are a relatively big organization they can afford to ***** money from innocent individuals and get away with it.

My wife and I app**** for ADSL last year from Telkom agents that were in our neighborhood mid last year. We never received any installation or communication from Telkom and decided "oh well lets not pursue". We still haven't received or consumed anything from them to date.

But for some reason they started debiting my wife's account. Now we thought this was one of those ******** and decided to change my wife's account details. She kept on getting sms's indicating that we owe money but again we really thought is was ******** and again ignored. Our reasoning was how can they be charging for something we have not received or consumed. Anyway now apparently it has been handed over to debt collectors and we decided to push for rectification of this issue. To our surprise Telkom seems to have in their system that we have an account with them and a line. I asked for the documentation that my wife signed that would prove us receiving their products, the agent says she cannot help with that. I asked for the number that my wife supposedly has, tried calling it and the number does not exist. I asked them to check if there has been records of use on the line and ADSL, she admittedly indicated there was no record of use it was blank which she again admitted is odd.

Long story short THEY HAVE BEEN CHARGING MY WIFE FOR PRODUCTS/SERVICES WE HAVE NOT RECEIVED OR USED.

Now Telkom you may be big but you are not untouchable. I am going to the consumer ombudsman and if that isn't effective enough I am going to take you to court. Its time you changed your ways. This goes beyond just my situation but the rights of all consumers and from what I can see from this platform I am not alone. It might take time to get you to be accountable but I am patient. I am going to be on a campaign to expose you for who you really are.
