TELKOM: horrible service

My phone with above mentioned job number was booked in for repairs a month ago. Firstly I was not informed that I should submit an affidavit and ID, so after more than a week of waiting for an update I phoned about 4 different people for Telkom and Finrite and was eventually informed about this. I then proceeded in providing the documents. The quote was sent and I paid the excess two weeks ago: the week of the 10th of April. I was the informed (after I again phoned to find out what is going on) that the quotes expired and they had to resubmit. Today is the 24th of April, and I was informed (again I had to phone and find out what is going on) that they are STILL waiting for a quote and a job number and my phone has STILL not been fixed. I need my phone for work and have missed appointments because I don’t have my phone. This was supposed to take two weeks. I left Vodacom because of bad service like this and now I am getting the same from Telkom.

Please advise me what I must do to speed up this process to get my phone back. I am paying for a phone I don’t have, and paying for insurance that is not delivering for what I pay every month without fail.

Hi Busi

I am really getting frustrated with this process. I just recieved an sms saying that the quote was sent to the insurance for approval or rejection but I have already paid the excess amount of R750. How long will this take and can I bargain on getting my phone back this week or should I plan for December?
