Telkom holding my line hostage
I submitted my request to terminate my contract with Telkom on 1 November 2017. I received a response back, stating that it would take between 7 and 21 days for this to be actioned. I phoned the call centre to confirm, and I was told the service will be completely off by 30 Nov 2017. I have been trying since then to get my line disconnected, so that I can move over to my new supplier. I have spoken to every department, all of whom say that my line is now non-existent on their systems. I even went so far as to find the man who actually pushes the button for a Vuma customer to either connect or disconnect the account. I have sent emails, and spent hours on the phone trying to get this done, and yet, here I sit on 10 JANUARY 2018, 41 days after the promised cutoff date still connected to a slow and unreliable ISP. My account is in credit, so this is not the reason for this delayed action. I have also spoken to Vuma and my new ISP, neither of whom can do anything until I 'have no internet connection'. Since Im writing this post online, it is obvious that I still have connection. Slow connection which is now impacting my business.
