telkom holding me ransom to webafrica

Hello

I was so excited to here that my area became illegible for a fiber line earlier this year. I dealt with a Telkom sales agent by the name of Weley Venables and we were in the process of arranging a line. I then realised that Webafrica could install a telkom fiber line at a far more competitive package,

on the 14th of April, I had the following dialogue with Wesley Venables.

ME: Hello Wesley.

I see that web Africa and mweb offer a Telkom fibre line in far more attractive packages.

Would you be able to match them?

Wes Rep****: Good day Nando,

I can only help with the packages as given by Telkom.

Please let me know if you need any more info? Looking forward to getting you Future Hood ready!

to which i Rep****: Hello Wesley

Im going with webafrica. Main reason is that there is no contract. And i get more data for similar money...

Wes rep****: To confirm, must I cancel your application then?

To which i responded: Yes please. cancel

I then gave Web Africa the go ahead to install a line. Its important to mention that webafrica do a Telkom line in my area. Once the installer fitted the line i then called Webafrica(not telkom) to activate the line and happy days I had internet from the 21st of April.

On the 10th of May, telkom billed me for the first time. ( do bear in mind i never took their package)

I have since then explained to countless agents that I never signed up with them.

I have since recieved bills for June, July and August...

On the 11th of June my line (Web africa line) failed as telkom suspended the service I never took from them...

Web africa have tried , and I have been disputing this with them since. I always send my email discussion with Wes to no avail. I had a dispute logged which got auto declined, I then find out that web africa have log a new line and they are kept waiting by telkom as to a new instalation date. I get told by telkom that a new dispute has been logged and that they will respond in 3 days by that agent. 10 days later they tell me that a dispute can take 6 weeks.

I'm waffeling now so here are the facts as I undestand them...

• I am not and never have been a telkom client

• I am currently paying for a service from Webafrica that telkom is denying us.

• Webafrica cannot install a new line till telkom remove the one the installed incorrectly

• Telkom wont remove the line till the dispute is resolved

• I cannot speak to an agent who deals with the dispute

I cannot bear to phone another impotenet agent at Telkom who can only try sympathise and do nothing.

they cant escalate the matter nor but me through to someone who is dealing with the matter.

I must just sit and wait....

someone please help....
