Telkom holding me ransom for service never rendered

i cancelled a service years ago but i am now getting summons and threatening smses Ref ********** 03. I have previously gone to the woodlands pta east branch to cancell this more than once and yet today i am getting summons. The service was never activated yet i apparently owe R1397.50
