Telkom, help me please!! :(

So I should probably apologise to anyone reading this because this is a bit of a lengthy post but here it goes... This all started in late July. I finally decided to make the switch from my really expensive mobile broadband to a fixed line connection for my broadband needs. now we all know that in order to have a fixed line internet service you need to have a working postpaid Telkom landline, so on Friday the 28th of July I filled out and submitted an online application for a Telkom residential line with the hope that by the beginning of September (over a month later) I would have a working fixed broadband connection. now to start with I went on to theTelkom website and app**** for a landline, after filling out and submitting an online application I received an automated email from Telkom letting me know that a consultant would be contacting me within 48 hours. Naively I waited two days and hoped to hear from Telkom but no one called or emailed me, so I waited a while longer and eventually on Friday the 4th of August (a week later) I received a call from a Telkom sales consultant who confirmed all my personal, residential and billing information and placed an order for a normal residential line installation. Three days later on Monday the 7th of August I received an SMS from Telkom stating that my order had been placed and that a R700 deposit needed to be paid within 7 days for the installation to proceed and that the deposit could be paid online or at any PostOffice. A few days later I attempted to pay this deposit at my local post office but was unsuccessful so exactly seven days after receiving the SMS on monday the 14th of August, I walked into a Telkom store (at the Galleria Shopping mall) and paid the deposit, One of the consultants at the store told me that it would take up to 21 days to complete the installation but as you'll clearly see that wasn't the case. Three days after paying the deposit I called the Telkom sales call centre to find out when a technician would be coming to start the installation as I hadn't heard anything from them, I was then told by the consultant that the installation could not be started because of a "lack of cabling" , I didn't really understand what this meant but I called everyday for an update and was told the same thing by a bunch of different consultants until eventually on Friday the 18th of August I management to make an appointment for the installation to be done on Wednesday the 23rd of August the following week. So on the day of the installation the technician shows up and says that a pole needs to be put up at our gate in order for the cabling to be installed, now this didn't make sense because the house has had a landline before without the need of an additional pole and I was essentially just having it reinstalled, I explained this to him but he insisted that the pole was necessary, so I waited another week and three days for telkom to install the pole and cabling to the house. On Saturday the 2nd of September this was done. It has been almost two weeks since the pole and cabling was installed but Telkom is yet to install the telephone jack and connect the line to the local exchange. I've been calling telkom everyday for the past two weeks about this and every time I call they tell me that the technician has not signed off on the pole and cabling and that the cable has not been installed at the exchange. I keep asking for these issues to be resolved but keep getting told that the sales consultants can't do much and that it's all up to their technical department. my order was supposedly escalated last week but it doesn't seem to have made a difference. It's now mid September I've cancelled my mobile broadband contract and I'm stuck paying for even more expensive prepaid data bundles. I have no idea when I can expect this installation to be completed and no one at the Telkom call centre seems to care. A good friend of mine (shout out to you Laaiqah) suggested that I write to Hello peter so I am doing so out of sheer desperation in the hope that all this will finally be resolved. every day I go without a proper broadband connection forces me to spend a large amount of money on bundles and the cost is starting to accumulate but I don't know what else to do, please help!! :(
