Telkom Hell

Had a contract for 2 years, to expire in May 2022. Was on the phone with a Trlkom agent enquiring when the contract would come to end and was told, then told them I won't renew the contract, received sms confirming this. Few months later, getting calls from Debtin telling me my account has been handed over. I now owe Telkom over a thousand rands because of cancelation fees( wasn't told about them then). Where can I get help?
