Telkom has really dropped the ball this time.
I have a three year contract with Telkom and I have been paying for it since last year July. I got the iPhone 15. The camera was not recognisable and then the SIM card was not readable and had no network for a week. I took it to Telkom and they had the audacity to tell me to take the phone to the Pakistani shops to have it fixed. I then took the phone to iStore in Pavilion and they took it in for repairs on the 27th of March 2026 . They returned my phone with more hardware issues. Now when I returned to Telkom they said they cannot fix the phone. I cannot pay a three year contract for a phone that is not working. I only had the phone for 8 months and this is the treatment I am getting. I think it would only be fair if Telkom replaces the device or cancels the contract so I can start afresh. I think it’s absolutely absurd that Telkom can suggest that I take my phone to a local ****a shop to have my phone fixed when I have a contract with them. That’s absolutely ridiculous. This must be sorted out or I will go to Ombudsman. I am a young female and I travel long distance to work everyday. I need to have a phone that works. I know nothing about cars, I need my phone to call for help should anything happen on the road. Female safety has been completely disregarded by this company and this should be addressed.
