Telkom has cancelled my wife's mobile number

In August, I went to the Telkom branch in Centurion, took out a new FreeMe contract for my Wife, and asked that her previous cntract be cancelled (it was month to month) and that her number be moved to prepaid so that it could be transferred to the new FreeMe contract. I was assured that it would take 30 days to cancel the old contract and that I would be notified once it was done so that we could come in and request that the number be transferred.

Two months later and I called the call centre and asked why the contract had not yet been cancelled. The person to whom I spoke checked and said that they could see that the ticket had been logged but that they didn't understand that it had not yet been actioned. I reiterared that the number should become prepaid. They asked if the cancellations department should call me before cancelling the number. After some deliberation I said yes.

That afternoon my wife's number suddenly stopped working. I checked on the telkom portal and the number had dissapeared from my name. I received no phone call before hand.

I phoned the call centre and explained the problem and the person to whom I spoke said they would follow up with canellations department and get them to reinstate the number.

A month and 3 more calls to the call centre later, and nothing has been done.

As much as I love you Telkom Mobile, your service consistantly stinks.

Please resolve this as a matter of urgency.
