Telkom goes back in time with same no service', but with a twist.
10 Days ago we were forced to accept a wireless phone which replaces out landline. For 10 days we have had no phoneline, TELKOM refuses to connect us. I have hung on for over 20 mins, I have tweeted away. I get polite responses saying nothing. This morning I was told to go to a Telkom shop which I did. They told me the line was 'open' and they 'closed'it. They said the technicians have to connect it now. So I wait, I am actually not even fighting. I am leaving Telkom and using fibre for my line, but I can only do that end January. Second issue is only one phone was given to me, despite me having an upstairs and downstairs. Apparently that it, no extension or second handset allowed. How do I answer upstairs? I carry this handset I guess. Crazy but true. We have just gone backwards. Does Telkom seriously think we are happy with this ridiculous idea (never mind the service). Good luck guys, may you last in business long enough to see the year through.
