Telkom Gives Client Numbers to Companies

I moved into my new home about 1.5 months ago after Telkom transferred my line from my previous residence. The line was basically just for ADSL but I decided to connect a telephone in my new home. Since I've received numerous phone calls from security companies, insurance companies, etc who have called me by my name and surname. I have give NO ONE my number!!! I also made it clear to Telkom that I did not wanted to be listed in the phone book. Whether Telkom is selling (which in my opinion they are) or just giving out PRIVATE information it is highly *********. We live in an era where we are bombarded by spam emails and text messages. Now we have to deal with spam phone calls on our land lines too! Make me furious!!!
