Telkom get rich quick sceme
Telkom offered me a data deal, 20 gigs for R200. As a person who was unemployed at the time and a person who is not so lucky to get a job that pays more than minimum wage, i made a wise financial decision as i always do and took the deal. As broke as i am, i sometimes wake up and find that a store has increased my limit with R20 000, saying its cos of the way i manage my account, a lot of stores usually do this. I dont use this money of course, they usually take it back after a few months. My mom often laughs at how i dont like owing no one and that my credit score often has 3 points missing to be at 100% However, i have sleepless nights because of Telkom. I had financial problems and they didnt find money on my account but cos i am so scared to miss payments and it worries me when i owe someone, i always went to their store when i got the money to pay them and pay the interest. I was in arrears and i went into their store November 2019 in Sandton city to enquire how much i should pay and was told by a consultant. I had money and settled the outstanding amount as told by the consultant. Same month, I received R20 000 as a gift and Telkom Neodod my account, they took an amount of R600. I went to the Sandton city store to ask why was this done cos i settled. The consultant i found opened my billing info and told me it was a mistake done by Telkom to take this money as my account is up to date with payments. He told me i shouldnt worry, i should go home, Telkom will probably pick it up soon. February, my services have been suspended and i am told to pay R1000 by Telkom. I did not chase Telkom around because i believed they credited my account with R600 that they took by mistake. I am very sorry but this is the most painful thing to happen to me, no credit provider has ever done this to me. I called the call centre and was told the store was suppose to inform billing to contact me or contact billing for me and not turn me away when i came in to enquire. Please help me Peter, im sorry for being emotional but i have been passed around from store to store and call centre consultant to another consultant and they all think im just a customer who is running away from paying and i do not get help. If i was that type of customer, at 32 years of age, how do you approve my credit application? A customer who runs from paying gets blacklisted. I wanted to cancel the contract and was told i cant cos i have their device. they told me i have to pay R3000 to cancel. I was told the contract i have is a mobile contract so i also cant pay my bill in cash, they can only debit my account. I have a contract with Vodacom, i have a laptop and a router and when i took Telkom data contract i was using a small very old phone more than 20 years old, which im still using cos i cannot afford a phone. I felt betrayed, ****med and disrespected when i was told by call centre staff and store staff that the router that Telkom gave me is the reason the deal is not a data deal but a mobile deal. Its so sad cos when i signed up i was told im signing up for a data deal of R200 for 20 gigs. If Telkom told me that i am going to pay them R200 monthly for two years for the router not for the data, i was not going to take the deal cos i did not want a device, i needed data and was told im being sold data when i signed the contract. If i had known Peter, iwas going to take a phone from them and talk to my neighbor so we can get fibre and share the billl. I feel as if Telkom is trying to get rich quick with their penalty fees because they do not provide us with staff who can be accurate with billing when a customer enquiries. You get different answers for the same question from different consultants, and its really painful cos i am the one who pays when they make errors. Why didnt Telkom Neodo my account as they did when R20 000 came in cos money does come in my account monthly? Why trap a customer and make them pay so much penalty fees saying they can never switch to cash payment but fail to provide staff who understand your billing spreadsheet? I took a R200 monthly instalment not cos it is my dream to get only 20gigs a month. I wish i can get uncapped but i cant afford it, i can only afford R200. What is it that Telkom benefits if a customer who doesnt have money ends up paying R400 a month when they originally have to pay R200? I cant afford it, you going to get me blacklisted. Is it fair if a service provider receives their money all the time, and as a customer, most of the time you use 5gigs of those 20 gigs and the data expires at it is not carried over to the next month but as a customer, you end up paying thousands of rands instead of a couple of hundreds agreed on? Who is really benefiting cos its clear that i as their customer am not benefiting. How many people would sign a two year contract Telkom for a router? lets be honest. Again, i know your rules Peter of how to complain but i have been running up and down for the past months and i am tired and so unhappy, i literally have nobody to turn to. What Telkom is doing is what is currently being done by most proudly South African companies. I work in one of them and we are told and taught how to de***** black, poor and uneducated people. South African companies are facing the most difficult times, and its wrong if my bill doubles from what we agreed on just cos their salaries have to paid. I earn very little and chances are, i wont be able to afford this bill anymore and i will get blacklisted. Aha, you see, this is the reason business is slow and you have to rob people. Its poor service that you give and you robbing poor people. What will you benefit if i get blacklisted, your stores will be empty, thats what will happen. This is a very poor country and the reason we have situations like Telkom, is cos of South African culture of ******** and *****. Its true, what good will it do business if a person is employed cos they have *** with you, cos they are your cousin or cos of skin colour? Thats reality here in South African companies. So i must pay the bill so your ******** flashy lives can be funded? You must work for money like all of us, not rob people through ***** contracts. If you worked, you will make money but if you dont work, you wont make money, so its not fair that i have to pay you for what you have not worked for. Dear Telkom, you wont win at all with unfair business practices, you will ***** as much money as you can from me, once off, how can i ever have a contract with you again. No one around me will ever take a contract with you, they will see me pay R1000 for 20 gigs data that expires every month and is taken back by you when i dont use it and they will run for their lives. A friend was shocked to hear that i took contract with you, he said your new name on the streets of South Africa is ****kom. This is the case number they gave me ***3. Let me warn you guys, the proudly South African way to do business today is to offer a service, charge a customer, not give the service but get as much money as you can from the customer. I will probably be able to pay this money in the next three or four months cos its not what i can afford, by the time i pay it, it will probably have doubled or it will be R2200 and trust me i wont be having data for all these months, but ill have to pay cos if not, i get blacklisted, power Telkom, power, i wonder how it feels to have the power to blacklist someone so easy and get away with not providing the service you ought to provide. We will talk about power next time Telkom. I will talk to you Telkom through media about power, being South African, i mean you South African and i will find out who benefits when bills double and customers get trapped in your not so perfect billing system. Not here on Hello Peter. Im a regular at the Sandton police station, so thats why i am doing things the right way, i tried getting help from you, but i have become a joke, so im here on Hello Peter and after this ill know who im dealing with and illl teach u about power just like i taught the staff of Multichoice. Its not fair cos i get a lot of credit offers and i dont have much, I turn credit offers down and im really in need of what they want to give me but cos of interest, i am suffering living without basic things i need but cant afford. why not i get all i need from credit providers and pay, and not pay someone somewhere who is not qualified to occupy a certain position, reason company is not making money, to ensure he gets his salary. Proudly South African, doing what you do best. The world will know. My message travels all over the world very fast by the way, im a reliable source of info for pips all over the world and i think its time the world knows how South Africa does business, so innocent people dont fall into the same trap. Ask your friends why are people saying this year is the year of the orange overalls, ask and you will know who you robbing and whats coming for you. Im sorry Peter, but i am very angry and have taken this personal.
