Telkom **********ly Charging for a Service They Have Never Provided!

In April 2018, I spoke to a Telkom Sales Rep about a Uncapped ADSL Contract - I have not heard from Telkom since (they do not have my bank account details, I have not activated or agreed to a contract with them, they have never sent me an invoice, they have never installed a line, or provided me with a telephone or router BUT they have **********ly listed me with the Credit Bureau claiming that I am 120 days in an arrears for an amount of R715.00, apparently for a line opened in April 2018 (6 months ago) which has never been activated/used! Not only are they charging me monthly for a service they have never provided me with nor drawn my attention to it by way of SMS or e-mail but they have also prejudiced my character and my credit rating which is impeccable - this is a defamation of my character! The only reason why I know about this ********** error is through TransUnion - my annual Credit Rating report requested on 06/09/2018. I have been trying since 07/09/2018 to get Telkom to urgently rectify their error and wrong doing but get as far as Billings and then I am stone walled. This matter is infuriating and completely unacceptable.

This matter is still NOT resolved - I logged the fault 5 weeks ago and despite: * receiving a private response to my original HelloPeter posting on 12/09/2018, from Telkom (Hazel) on 16/09/2018, assuring me that they will task their accounts team to attend to the matter and advise accordingly, apologising for delay and the inconvenience caused. * and then finally receiving a point of call/contact person in the Escalations department on 26/09/2018, giving me the same assurances; nothing further has happened. I still have a negative credit rating thanks Telkom erroneously opening an account and debiting it with R 715.00 for absolutely NO SERVICE whatsoever! I am at my wits end and am seriously considering calling the Consumer Protection Agency for assistance. Interaction REF: AI ********** Interaction REF: AI **********
