Telkom ***** (Worst customer service ever)

Approximately 4 months ago I was interested in getting an internet line set up at my house, So I went to Telkom in Kenilworth Center in Cape Town to inquire about how much it would cost and if I qualify for a month to month internet line.

The consultant (Thokozani) gave me an estimate amount and a contract to sign which I declined to sign as this was too much for me to pay at the time. I told Thokozani that I did not want it and he said that he would cancel this he then scribbled on the section of the contract where I am supposed to sign and told me not to worry after I confronted him about this. A month later I received bill from Telkom for the internet and line rental that I did not order, there were no technicians at my house to install any lines and I did not receive any internet service and upon checking I see that it has also negatively been reflected on my credit score.

I then called Telkom to report this and I told them that I suspected *****, they told me that I need to get a affidavit from the police and take it to the shop, which I did. When arriving at the shop I spoke to same consultant again who told me that he had taken care of everything and the points will return back on to me credit score and that I will no longer be billed. This week I received yet another bill in the mail and when checking my credit score it dropped even more.

I cannot get through to Telkom to clear this off my name, I have called countless times and no one has fixed this I mean this is ridiculous, I just went in to find out how much it would cost and now I am sitting with a headache for 4 months trying to remove something off my name that I never even ordered not to mention I am being billed for a service that I did not receive.

Why should I need to drive up and down and call people to cancel something I do not have, I feel like my only option now is to go to the consumer protections office to lay a complaint and also to the police to lay a charge of ***** against Telkom.
