Telkom makes it difficult for customers to cancel telephone contracts. Once a customer cancels the contract, it is required that the customer effect the cancellation online. Thereafter the customer will continue receiving invoices and the outstanding amount continues accumulating. Telkom also refuses to make refunds where the customer has overpaid and they owe a customer a refund.
