Telkom Fibre Promo Offer Not Honoured

Telkom repeated requested the residential line be upgraded from copper to fibre offering a special promotion.

The promo was applicable to standard Do Broadband bundle users (40gig softcap, 2mbps linein my case). The deal entailed free installation, equipment and two months usage at Bolt Speed (100gig softcap, 10mbps line), at the original DSL price (+-R447,00 per month excluding calls). Following the first two months, if satisfied the new service would come at a cost of R699.00 per month excluding calls.

The service was upgraded early September 2016. The first bill received was R1,277.60. After lodging a dispute a credit of R788.20 was received however, on 10 October 2016 (one month into the promo) the line was downgraded back to the original 40gig cap, 2mbps on fibre.

I queried this with Telkom via their website, never received an answer. Requeried it again today via their online chat, was on the Telkom chat forum with an agent ny the name of Nozipho Nzimande who didn't provide a suitable answer and instead stopped responding to my repeated requests as to whether he/she was still there or not. I finally gave up after 25 minutes without a response and now share this on Hellopeter to hopefully achieve an answer.

I have saved a transcript of the online chat in reference.

Thank you.
