Telkom Fibre non existent

I was sold a Fibre package by Telkom and told it would be installed between 7 and 30 days, as my area has fibre lines. It has been eight weeks since I signed up, and all the helpline can tell me is that my order is sitting with their network department. They cannot provide a contact person or a date as to when I can expect the installation. They cannot even escallate my query, or get a person with better knowledge to phone me back. Am I supposed to accept that I have signed a contract for a service that may never be provided. I am spending a fortune on buying prepaid data while waiting for Telkom to honour their sales pitch. Their sales representatives are selling a product that clearly does not exist.

Dear Luleka,

I have subsequently contacted the helpline again on 21/06 and was informed that the installation will take place on 23/06 and I will receive an SMS to confirm. I phoned again today 22/06 to be told that the installation was to happen today 22/06 but the technician failed to attend to it and it has been escallated again, and I will receive an SMS to confirm that perhaps a technician will attend to it on Tuesday. This is like a bad dream. Is it like this for all your customers? I have the following reference numbers and growing daily: ********** 36; 987610; 987976

This is beyond frustrating....

The saga continues. Another phonecall and another escallation goes unanswered and now the next available date for an installation is perhaps the first week of July, but somebody will contact me today, just like somebody was going to contact me on Thursday last week, and Friday last week. I dont think there is a link between Telkom call centre and Telkom engineering. I GIVE UP

And Luleka with her feedback and reference number means nothing. How many reference numbers do you need?
