TELKOM FIBRE NON DELIVERY

Via their call centre, I have ordered a Fibre deal (12 months, 20 Mbps, uncapped) with Telkom 10 days ago.

At that time, Vumatel already installed a line together with a box inside my home, and informed me I only need to take up a deal with a Service Provider and link a router (from the Service Provider) to my Fibre box.

Telkom informed me (at the time of placing the order) that a router will be delivered to me. Needles to say, I have not heard anything from Telkom ever since. During this time I received an email from Telkom saying that my Fibre line has been activated from the 10th of Apr 2018. Still no router or any communication was received.

I had to call Telkom more than 5 times after that to follow up on the router delivery. The call centre personnel each also had a different story as to what the issue is with the router delivery. Needles to say, I then had to phone the delivery company (CourierIt) also a couple of times which resulted in a delayed delivery of my router.

During my initial call Telkom indicated that my ADSL line would automatically be deactivated once my Fibre line is active. This is surely not the case. The router was received on the 17th of April...with no instruction of how it should be implemented and working. I then phoned Telkom's call centre only to find out that there is no record on their system to activate Fibre and that on my landline number, only ADSL can be seen... Despite that: - I received an email from Telkom saying that my Fibre line is active - Telkom having delivered a Fibre router to my premises

I phoned the Telkom Call Centre on 17 Apr at around 17:30 - they informed me that I need to phone Vumatel to activate my Fibre Object code... Phoned Vumatel, they investigated and responded that my Fibre object code is already active and asked me to phone Telkom again. Phoned Telkom afterwards and then they responded that there is no record on their system to activate Fibre and that on my landline number, only ADSL can be seen.

How ON EARTH can a company like TELKOM deliver such poor services? Why must the consumer tell the TELKOM CALL CENTRE agents what is going on? TELKOM's service is USELESS! They are wasting my time, energy, money and mobile airtime!

I wish to NEVER EVER do business again with such a bunch of *********** LOSERS!
