Telkom Fibre false advertising to get you to sign up???

Dec 2019 - I was stupid enough to believe that Fibre is in my area when they (Reps under at Telkom umbrella selling new Fibre deals) sold me a 24 month Fibre contract. I signed up, got my new Fibre ready router within 5 days, thinking that yay soon I'll be able to watch movies without pausing. Well, Christmas came and christmas went, it is almost Dec2020, I still do not have Fibre linked and my brand new Fibre router is still in the box, untouched. I'm still using my old DSL router. Cables have been laid in my area and my neighbour is connect with Vox. Do I cancel Telkom? Accounts can't even tell me what my cancellation fees will be if I cancel. I must cancel first. Isn't this false advertising? I have another 12 months left on my contract.... need to get out of it as I'm not getting what I was promised. Anyone else that this happened too?
