Telkom Fibre

At the end of October 2025, we received an email stating that from February 2026, Telkom was stopping copper wire Wi-Fi and we needed to migrate to a fibre or plug-and-play option. On 17 November 2025, we visited the Knysna Telkom shop and placed an order for a fibre 25/25 option. We followed up with a phone call and were advised that the fibre was available, and the technician would phone for installation. Nothing was heard. On 11 December 2025, we visited the George Telkom shop and was advised that our order was cancelled as the customer was no longer interested. This was not the case! (***) Whilst there, we re-ordered the 25/25 fibre option. (***) 5 phone calls later spread over the last 10 days, we have had confirmation that the technicians would be here - no show. We are still in the dark as to what is happening!
