Telkom Fiber - Revenge from the grave!
Revenge from the grave. Day 5 since unexpected and sudden death. For the second time this year my Telkom 200Mb fiber line died. Obviously on a Friday evening when those with special skills switch off their computers. Reason: despite my account being in 100% good standing, my service was suspended. Software glitch. Exactly the same as previous encounter. Considering I run a guest house and thus depend heavily on internet connectivity, and realizing the hopeless situation I was in, I said: "Enough is enough", cancelled my contract with Telkom and app**** for an Afrihost line. (First world service! Fantastic experience!) Now for the revenge part: Telkom has declared my fiber line dead. No service at all, but they won't release the line to Afrihost for 30 days! That means I have to pay them for a month while they prevent me from connecting to any other fiber service provider. The logic numbs me!! I now have to rely on mobile data. I've tried every possible extension on their spaghetti-like customer help lines to no avail! My last resort is to warn every possible user and potential user of their tactics on a daily basis until they either re-instate my service ****il the end of the 30 days - I'M LEAVING ANYWAY!!) or they release my line to a company who values my business. GATVOL VERBY!!!!!!!!
