Telkom False advertising on FreeMe promo. It's NOT month-to-month!!!

I just had the unfortunate experience of going into a Telkom shop in Ballito enquiring about the FreeMe 11.5GB promo for R299pm which clearly states that it's month to month on the pamphlet and also online. I was then informed that this is only available on a 24 month contract.

Why is Telkom getting away with false advertising like this?
