Telkom - False Advertising on deals

I am currently a consumer of Telkom with no issues regarding my current device or number. I've recently needed to purchase or obtain another cellular phone as well as a laptop. Needless to say that i've found the right deals at Telkom and i thought that since my current contract is with Telkom i might as well take out additional devices through them.

I've identified the following deals which i was interested in :

Samsung Galaxy A3 2016 SS (16 GB) 4.5 inch (Black) with FreeMe 1GB for R 199.00 x 24

and
HP 250 intel Core i3 with SmartInternet - 2 GB for R 349.00 x 36

I've been to the store at the Glen on 28/12/2016 whereby a sales advisor advised me that the deal on the Laptop is in fact not a true deal and it was printed in error on the brochure/magazine. I was also advised that no stock is available as this is not a deal at all. I was also advised that the samsung was not in stock nor could she tell me who has availability.

I then decided to phone the call center on 29/12/2016 whereby i was advised that the deal regarding the laptop is in fact a true deal which is available. I thought to myself how could that lady at the Glen give me such inaccurate information and i could kick myself for not asking for the manager to take this further. I then also requested online via telephone to request who does have stock of the devices i am interested in and with no luck i could not be assisted.

On the same day 29/12/2016 i decided to go to the Eastgate mall to actually get the required devices i needed. I got to the store at around 14h30 and i was disgusted by the staff. There were about 30 people in the store waiting to be assisted when one of the staff members tells the other that she was going on lunch. Surely the staff need to prioritize on their custormers. I am not saying that the staff should not eat however i am saying that the staff should work together on focusing to keep customer noise down and then take a break in between. Anyway, i wasnt going to wait in such a long queue to find out later that i could not be helped. I requested a staff member to check stock availability before i wasted my time in the line and thank god i done so. The staff member advised me that they did not have stock of both devices nor could she tell me who does. I was frustrated and advised the sales member that if Telkom cannot assist me i will be taking my business elsewhere. The sales lady did not even blink or try to save the customer for Telkom but actually looked relieved like there is one less customer to deal with.

In essence it means that if Telkom cannot tell you who has availability of any devices you will have to go to every store available till you are blue in the face to seek the devices of your choice. I dont understand how Telkom can reflect certain devices on special but have no stock anywhere. I personally think that this is pathetic service and Telkom (as a whole, the business, the staff, etc) has a communication problem.

Based on this experience i am disgusted with the service received from Telkom and upon my current contract expiring, i will be taking my business to another service provider where i can be helped and be valued as a customer.
