Telkom fails at its basic tasks
We moved from a farm in Rondevlei, District George, to a house in Sedgefield Southern Cape. On 23 July ourselves and the owners of our new property went to the Telkom offices in George to transfer the landline as well as the ADSL enablement of the Sedgefield house to our name. We were promised this in 48 hours. We also cancelled the landline in Rondevlei. Nothing happened. We still don't have ADSL and when we finally got through to someone at Telkom, she cancelled our old line and the new house line as well. Now we have to use our cellphones without internet to try and call Telkom, holding on for hours and hours and hours with no result. The reference numbers for our enquiries are: ***A and ***A. We have had no further response from Telkom. Telkom - you should be ashamed of yourselves. You are in the business of communication and you can't even get your ordinary day to day tasks right.
