Telkom express cradle stone mall, worst service given.

02/07/2020 - We went in to ask for an early upgrade as my phone was giving problems as well as my wife's sim card was faulty. I asked the employee what we should do to get an early upgrade. He told me we will have to pay the remaining balance of the phones value. After he looked at our data he told me that the outstanding value is R700 for both phones. After consulting with my wife we decided to follow the route of an early upgrade. The employee did not explain the subscription fees and what it would entail for the first two months. Throughout the whole process the contract was never shown to me, I was only asked to sign on the digital screen in front of the desk. I signed the contract on the 2nd of June 2020, only to be told that they don’t have stock afterwards. We received the phones on the 15th of June after numerous phone calls. 04/07/2020 – invoice/statement received. I noticed that the total amount due to the statement was R2838.16. On the statement we are being charged R794 per phone. After seeing the statement I went to the shop and asked the manager to explain the statement to me. She had a very high tone when she spoke to me and was unable to show me where I agreed to pay the R794 per phone. After explaining to her that her employee did not explain all the costs to me she rep**** by saying that she wasn’t there when he spoke to me. I then asked her if she would be able to assist me in any way as the employee sold a product to me without disclosing valuable information (i.e. the monetary implications). Her reaction was very defensive as if I was at fault. I left the store with her telling me that I can bring the phones back and I will have to pay the R2838.16 after which she will cancel the contract. I did tell her that I want to launch a compliant and that I will seek legal advise. Here reply was that I am more than welcome to do so. I've never experienced poor service like this and would not recommend Telkom express at Cradlestone mall to anyone.
