Telkom Exploiting their customers

I changed banks on 14/08/2018 and have been trying to update my banking details with Telkom ever since. Their systems have been down-managed to get it done today. To my surprise and disappointment, I am being told my new bank account needs to be older than three months before they can start debiting from it, in the mean time I need to make manual payments-which is still fine for me. The worst part is I was told I need to make payment 10 days before my scheduled debit date, or else they will charge me R201.70 penalty fee. I am extremely disappointed because there is no way I can make payment before my pay date, which will be in less than 10 days anyway. I am encountering countless problems with this company which I cannot begin to mention right now. It's funny how all companies accepted my new banking details and updated them accordingly. However, telkom cannot do the same. Customer Service agent also refused to transfer me to management so that I could get clarity regarding this matter. No where to turn to for assistance- highly dissatisfied customer! Don't know how they intend retaining customers with the type of service they are rendering!
